Frontend Engineer (m/f/d) – Remote or Berlin

About the role

Mercanis is building an AI‑driven procurement platform and is looking for a Frontend Engineer to create beautiful, intuitive, and high‑performance user experiences for its B2B product. You will join a cross‑functional agile team, collaborating with engineers, product managers, and designers, and work either fully remote or in a hybrid setting from our Berlin office.

Key responsibilities

• Implement core product features in close partnership with Product and Design.
• Maintain and evolve a modular, scalable frontend architecture.
• Participate in code reviews, pair programming, and technical discussions.
• Mentor junior engineers and share best practices.
• Assist in hiring by conducting frontend interviews and technical assessments.
• Contribute throughout the development lifecycle, from exploration to production monitoring.
• Explore new tools and ideas to improve performance, accessibility, and developer experience.

Required profile

• 3+ years of professional experience as a frontend or full‑stack engineer.
• Strong understanding of modern web development principles, component‑based design, reactivity, and performance optimization.
• Excellent communication skills in English, both spoken and written.
• Collaborative, pragmatic mindset with a desire to grow within a high‑performing engineering culture.
