Full Stack Engineer – Remote, Climate Tech

About the role

We are a remote‑first, Berlin‑based climate‑tech company helping businesses reach net‑zero. As a Full Stack Engineer you will build scalable, high‑performance web applications that power our data‑driven sustainability platform.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain full‑stack web applications using modern front‑end frameworks (React, Vue or Angular) and Node.js back‑ends.
• Implement REST and/or GraphQL APIs, manage database schemas (SQL & NoSQL) and integrate third‑party services.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers and engineers to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Write clean, reusable, well‑tested code and contribute to unit, integration and end‑to‑end testing.
• Optimize performance, accessibility and responsiveness across devices.
• Ensure application security, scalability and reliability.
• Participate in code reviews, architectural discussions and CI/CD pipeline improvements.
• Debug, troubleshoot and resolve production issues.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.
• 1‑3 years of proven experience as a Full Stack Engineer.
• Strong understanding of agile development methodologies and version control (Git).

Required skills

• Node.js, TypeScript, JavaScript
• Front‑end frameworks: React, Vue or Angular
• SQL and NoSQL databases
• REST and GraphQL API design
• Cloud platforms: AWS or Azure
• Docker / containerisation
• CI/CD pipelines and automated testing (unit, integration, e2e)
• Python (optional)
• Microservices or event‑driven architecture (nice‑to‑have)
