Full-Stack Software Developer (f/m/d) – Karlsruhe

About the role

We are expanding our software development team in Karlsruhe and are looking for a motivated full‑stack software developer (f/m/d) to contribute to the Chemotion ELN and LabIMotion ELN projects. You will help extend these platforms, enabling new communities of researchers to manage and reuse data across Germany and beyond.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and enhance full‑stack features for Chemotion and LabIMotion ELNs.
• Design software architecture and implement strategic improvements.
• Manage source code using GitHub and related tools.
• Leverage AI‑assisted development tools to increase efficiency.
• Interact with users to gather feedback, identify issues, and propose enhancements.
• Fix bugs, perform adjustments, and ensure high‑performance code.
• Document code and user guides on dedicated platforms.
• Publish results and contribute to scientific publications.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Several years of professional experience in software development.
• Proven ability to write well‑structured, high‑performance code.
• Experience in both backend and frontend development with a focus on user experience.
• Strong teamwork, communication skills and fluent English.
