General Manager – High-Volume Quick Service Restaurant

About the role

We are seeking an experienced General Manager to lead the launch and daily operations of a brand‑new high‑volume quick service restaurant in Oberhausen, Germany. You will be responsible for building a high‑performing team, ensuring operational excellence, and delivering an outstanding guest experience from day one.

Key responsibilities

• Take full ownership of daily operations and overall restaurant performance.
• Recruit, lead, coach, and develop a team of 20–30 employees.
• Maintain high standards of food quality, customer service, cleanliness, and operational excellence.
• Manage labour scheduling, staffing levels, and inventory to meet business needs.
• Drive sales while controlling labour, food, and operating costs.
• Train and develop future supervisors and managers.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, health & safety, and company standards.
• Build positive relationships with shopping centre management and external stakeholders.
• Support kitchen and front‑of‑house teams during busy periods.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a General Manager, Restaurant Manager or senior Assistant General Manager.
• Strong background in high‑volume hospitality such as Quick Service or Fast Casual concepts.
• Hands‑on leadership style with visible presence on the floor.
• Experience leading and developing large teams.
• Commercial awareness with experience managing sales, labour and profitability.
• Fluency in German and English.
