General Manager – Hotel Operations

About the role

We are seeking an experienced and entrepreneurial General Manager to lead Strandhotel Ahlbeck, a distinguished property on the Baltic Sea island of Usedom. You will be the host, entrepreneur, and brand ambassador, responsible for delivering exceptional guest experiences while driving financial performance.

Key responsibilities

• Full P&L responsibility and overall economic performance of the hotel.
• Lead, inspire, and develop department heads and their teams.
• Ensure the highest levels of guest satisfaction and quality standards.
• Oversee daily operations across Front Office, Food & Beverage, Housekeeping, Sales and other departments.
• Develop and execute commercial strategies in collaboration with headquarters.
• Drive revenue management, budgeting, and cost‑control initiatives.
• Represent the hotel to guests, partners, and local stakeholders.
• Support repositioning, renovation, or brand development projects as needed.

Required profile

• Several years of experience in a General Manager or Hotel Director role.
• Strong commercial acumen with proven P&L management skills.
• Leadership personality with a hands‑on, solution‑oriented mindset.
• Experience in branded or lifestyle hotel environments.
• Fluent in German and English.
• Passion for hospitality and building high‑performing teams.
