German‑Speaking Procurement Officer

About the role

The German‑Speaking Procurement Officer will support the centralised JPC Procurement Department by managing procurement activities for all German operations. You will work closely with German suppliers and the central team in Ireland to ensure timely delivery of construction materials and services.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and process purchase orders for construction materials and services using the Business Central ERP system.
• Communicate with German suppliers to confirm orders, negotiate delivery schedules and resolve minor issues.
• Assist in preparing RFQs and organising tender documents for German projects.
• Monitor delivery timelines and coordinate with German site teams to ensure material receipt.
• Maintain procurement documentation (contracts, supplier files, invoices) in line with company policies and German compliance requirements.
• Support cost tracking, verify supplier invoices and assist Accounts Payable with disputed invoices.
• Prepare procurement status reports and keep trackers up‑to‑date for German procurement activity.
• Act as the primary procurement contact for Germany, aligning with the central procurement strategy.

Required profile

• Degree or vocational qualification in Construction Management, Supply Chain, Business or a related field.
• At least 1 year of experience (or internship) in procurement, construction or a related industry.
• Basic understanding of procurement processes, construction materials and supplier management.
• Fluent German (native or near‑native) and strong English communication skills.
• Excellent organisational abilities and capacity to manage multiple priorities.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Familiarity with Business Central ERP (advantageous).
