Global Chief Operating Officer

About the role

Ophardt Hygiene is looking for a dynamic Global Chief Operating Officer to lead its worldwide operational footprint. The COO will shape the company’s future by driving efficiency, innovation, and sustainability across manufacturing, supply chain, quality, and logistics.

Key responsibilities

• Lead all global operational functions, including manufacturing, supply chain, quality control, and logistics.
• Develop and execute strategies to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and scale operations.
• Implement continuous‑improvement initiatives and best‑practice processes.
• Collaborate with senior leadership on global expansion, market entry, partnerships, and acquisitions.
• Identify growth opportunities in existing and new markets to increase market share and revenue.
• Ensure compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements in the healthcare and hygiene sectors.
• Enhance supply‑chain resilience, manage sourcing, procurement, and vendor relationships.
• Drive product‑development and manufacturing innovation to maintain competitive advantage.
• Lead sustainability initiatives and promote environmentally responsible practices.
• Provide mentorship and leadership to a global team of operations professionals.
• Work with the CFO to manage budgets, optimize costs, and meet financial targets.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree is a plus.
• Proven leadership experience in global operations within manufacturing or healthcare.
• Willingness to travel internationally and adapt to a global business environment.
• Strong alignment with family‑business values.
• Fluent in German and English, both written and spoken.

• Deep understanding of hygiene and infection‑prevention products and markets.
• Knowledge of legal, regulatory, and business requirements in the sector.
