Global Controlling Specialist – Business Analytics (RFN)

About the role

The Global Controlling Specialist reports to the Global Head of RFN Controlling and serves as the primary contact for digitalization and data‑analytics initiatives within Controlling. The role combines strong operational controlling expertise with business‑intelligence skills to act as a partner for the Refinish Leadership Team and to lead cross‑functional analytics projects across regions.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and enhance global controlling reporting solutions while ensuring high data quality.
• Support users in leveraging reporting tools and analytics for decision‑making.
• Coordinate reporting requirements with Finance, IT, and Data & Analytics teams and foster cross‑functional collaboration.
• Introduce automation and AI‑supported solutions to improve reporting and controlling processes.
• Conduct financial analyses, performance monitoring and respond to ad‑hoc business requests.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in finance, accounting, controlling, business analytics, information systems or a related field with relevant professional experience.
• Strong knowledge of Power BI, Excel (including Power Query and Power Pivot) and solid understanding of reporting and controlling processes.
• Fluent German and English communication skills.
• Experience with Databricks, data‑warehouse environments and modern analytics platforms is beneficial.
• Project coordination or management experience and familiarity with automation tools such as Power Automate are a plus.
