Global Functional Process Owner Purchase-to-Pay Accounting (Accounts Payable)

About the role

We are establishing a dedicated accounting department within the Coatings division and need a senior leader to own and shape the global Purchase‑to‑Pay (P2P) accounting function. This role will drive standards, automation and continuous improvement across accounts payable and expense reimbursement processes.

Key responsibilities

• Own global P2P accounting processes from invoice scanning to payment execution and travel expense reimbursements.
• Establish and maintain global standards for P2P accounting aligned with organizational goals and regulatory requirements.
• Identify and drive process improvement opportunities, leveraging technology and digital solutions to enhance automation and efficiency.
• Manage third‑party business process provider, define and monitor performance KPIs.
• Collaborate with Group Accounting, Procurement, and Project Accounting to ensure holistic alignment of accounting processes.
• Engage internal stakeholders to ensure P2P processes meet business needs and strategic objectives.

Required profile

• University degree in finance, accounting, business administration or a related field; CMA or CPA certification is a plus.
• At least 10 years of experience in financial process management and optimization, with a strong focus on accounts payable in a multinational environment.
• Experience in the chemicals industry or similar sectors, especially during transitions or carve‑outs.
• Proven ability to lead global process ownership and work with external service providers.
