Global Procurement Manager – Finished Goods

About the role

Our client, a leading international industrial machinery manufacturer, is seeking a Global Procurement Manager for Finished Goods. This senior position will shape the sourcing strategy for externally manufactured products, working closely with operations, engineering, product management, and senior leadership across Europe, Asia, and North America.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement a global procurement strategy for finished goods and contract‑manufactured products.
• Manage a diverse international supplier portfolio, leading strategic sourcing, supplier selection, and long‑term development plans.
• Identify cost‑optimization opportunities while safeguarding quality, delivery, and innovation.
• Drive supplier performance through KPI frameworks, regular business reviews, and risk‑mitigation actions such as dual‑sourcing.
• Support new product introductions and product lifecycle management in partnership with engineering and product development teams.
• Lead complex commercial negotiations in German and English, ensuring favorable terms and long‑term value.
• Promote sustainability and ESG initiatives across the supplier base.

Required profile

• Degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain, Procurement or a related field.
• Several years of strategic procurement experience in an industrial manufacturing environment.
• Proven track record managing finished‑goods, contract manufacturing, or complex direct‑material categories.
• Strong commercial acumen, negotiation skills, and stakeholder management abilities.
• Native or fluent German and fluent English.
