Group Accountant

About the role

sennder is looking for a Group Accountant to join its Finance team and support the financial reporting of its European operations. The role will be based in one of sennder’s offices in Berlin, Bucharest or Wrocław and will work closely with senior finance leaders.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly group reporting in accordance with IFRS, collaborating with the Head of Group Accounting.
• Support subsidiaries on IFRS‑related accounting matters.
• Analyse monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements.
• Implement new reporting policies at both group and local levels.
• Develop and improve accounting and reporting practices across the company.
• Enhance reporting using Oracle NetSuite ERP.
• Work closely with the Head of Finance and CFO on strategic initiatives.

Required profile

• 4+ years of experience, preferably as an auditor or consultant in a Big 4 firm.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS; basic German GAAP is a plus.
• Experience preparing consolidated financial statements under IFRS.
• Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or related field; ACCA qualification is a plus.
• Open, communicative personality with strong team spirit and high commitment.
• Willingness to own projects that drive improvement.
• Experience with automation projects or AI adoption is advantageous.
• German language skills are a plus.
