Group Tax Manager – German Tax Affairs

About the role

Join ib vogt’s Tax Department as the Group Tax Manager responsible for all German tax matters across the group. Reporting to the Head of Tax, you will ensure full compliance, support audits, and help shape a forward‑looking tax framework for a leading renewable‑energy developer.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate direct, indirect and withholding tax filings for German entities together with external advisors.
• Support tax audit processes, liaising with internal auditors and German tax authorities.
• Act as Tax Business Partner for the German market team, providing advice on structuring and strategic questions.
• Own the quarterly and annual global tax consolidation (CT and DT P&L and B/S) and deliver consolidated tax numbers and disclosures.
• Prepare tax disclosures for the group’s IFRS consolidated financial statements.
• Support German CFC calculations and filings.
• Assist the Head of Tax with new tax forecasting tools, the Tax Governance Framework (TCMS) and tax management information packs.
• Maintain the Group Tax Compliance Calendar, identify risks and collaborate with International Tax, Transfer Pricing, Accounting, Controlling and Legal teams.

Required profile

• German qualified tax advisor (Steuerberater/in) with at least 3 years of professional tax experience.
• Excellent written and spoken communication skills in German and English.
• Collaborative team player with pragmatic decision‑making and openness to change.
• Curious, proactive and eager to learn, especially regarding digitalisation and AI‑powered tools.
