Head of Capital Formation / Partner – Institutional & Private Wealth

About the role

We are a London‑headquartered institutional private equity firm seeking a Head of Capital Formation / Partner to own and scale our investor relations and fundraising function in Frankfurt. You will lead the end‑to‑end capital formation process, from LP targeting and roadshow execution to final close, and become a key member of the executive leadership team.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute the full capital formation strategy for institutional and private‑wealth channels.
• Identify, engage, and manage relationships with pension funds, sovereign wealth funds, endowments, fund‑of‑funds, family offices, UHNWI and HNWI networks.
• Lead roadshow planning, investor presentations, and negotiation of commitments.
• Build and nurture the firm’s investor franchise and brand in the market.
• Collaborate with senior leadership on strategic positioning and growth initiatives.

Required profile

• 15+ years of experience in institutional or private‑wealth fundraising, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
• Proven track record of securing capital commitments from large institutional investors and high‑net‑worth families.
• Deep network across pension funds, sovereign wealth, endowments, family offices and UHNWI.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with experience building or scaling a fundraising function.
• Executive‑level communication skills, able to translate complex strategies into compelling narratives.
