Head of Capital Formation / Partner – Institutional & Private Wealth

About the role

We are a London‑headquartered institutional private equity firm seeking a Head of Capital Formation / Partner to own and scale our investor relations and fundraising function in Frankfurt. Reporting directly to executive leadership, you will drive the full capital formation cycle, from LP targeting through roadshow execution to final close.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute the firm’s capital formation strategy across institutional and private‑wealth channels.
• Lead LP targeting, manage roadshows, and oversee the closing process.
• Build and nurture relationships with pension funds, sovereign wealth funds, endowments, family offices, and ultra‑high‑net‑worth individuals.
• Develop compelling narratives that translate complex investment strategies into investor‑friendly presentations.
• Collaborate with senior leadership to align fundraising activities with overall firm objectives.

Required profile

• 15+ years of experience in institutional or private‑wealth fundraising, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
• Established network of LPs across pension funds, sovereign wealth, endowments, fund‑of‑funds, family offices, and UHNWI.
• Proven track record of building or scaling a fundraising function, not merely inheriting one.
• Executive‑level communication skills capable of simplifying complex strategies for sophisticated investors.
• Exposure to DeepTech/AI themes is a plus, with firm‑supported learning available.
