Head of Communications (All Genders)

About the role

zooplus, Europe’s leader in online pet care, is looking for its first strategic Head of Communications. You will shape and own the global communications function, giving the brand a voice that matches its market position.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute corporate communications plans aligned with company priorities.
• Lead media relations, crisis communications, and CEO/executive messaging.
• Design and deliver internal communications that support leadership goals and boost employee engagement.
• Partner with Marketing & Brand to create consumer PR programs that drive brand growth.
• Set a long‑term communications and reputation strategy and build a hub‑and‑spoke model for local markets.
• Consolidate corporate, internal, CEO and consumer PR under one function and establish clear KPIs and reporting.

Required profile

• Proven experience building and leading a communications function at a large, multi‑market organization.
• Strong strategic thinking with the ability to translate business objectives into compelling narratives.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills across C‑suite, marketing, HR and external agencies.
• Ability to work proactively, set agendas and embed communications into executive rhythms.
