Head of Group Reporting & Accounting

About the role

As Head of Group Reporting & Accounting you will lead the external financial reporting of our publicly listed group on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange while steering the accounting organisation. You will shape the future finance function by driving automation and AI‑enabled transformation of reporting processes.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare consolidated monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements under IFRS and statutory statements under HGB.
• Draft notes, management reports and other capital‑market related disclosures.
• Serve as primary contact for external auditors and lead year‑end closing and audit processes.
• Own complex accounting matters, continuously improve accounting policies and processes.
• Lead the Group Accounting team and its sub‑team leads, fostering technical excellence and high performance.
• Partner with technology teams to implement AI‑driven solutions for smarter, scalable finance operations.
• Standardise, automate and optimise end‑to‑end finance processes.
• Support international expansion by building a finance organisation that can scale.

Required profile

• Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting or a related discipline.
• Several years of experience in Group Accounting, Financial Reporting or Audit, preferably in a listed company.
• Proven leadership experience managing accounting teams.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of IFRS and German HGB accounting standards.
• Experience with consolidated financial reporting and statutory filings.
• Audit coordination and external auditor liaison.
• Familiarity with AI‑enabled automation tools and process optimisation.
