Head of Retail – Central Territory EMEA

About the role

The Head of Retail for the Central Territory will partner with the Retail Director EMEA to turn regional strategy into measurable market impact across Germany, Austria, Poland and surrounding markets. This senior, hands‑on position requires executive presence, cross‑functional influence, and a proven record of profitable growth in multi‑market retail environments.

Key responsibilities

• Define and deliver the cluster retail strategy aligned with EMEA priorities, prioritising investments and resource allocation to grow market share, margin and loyalty.
• Own P&L and commercial levers (pricing, assortment, promotions, productivity) in partnership with Finance and Commercial teams.
• Translate global campaigns into locally relevant plans, using sales, traffic, inventory and CRM analytics to drive conversion, average transaction value and stock turn.
• Ensure consistent execution of New Balance operational standards across owned and operated stores, embedding audit, compliance and loss‑prevention disciplines.
• Partner with the expansion team on site selection, opening plans and post‑opening ramp‑up to meet commercial milestones and ROI.
• Manage regional operating costs, shrinkage targets and stock control processes, ensuring robust omnichannel fulfilment.
• Safeguard visual merchandising and brand experience across the territory.

Required profile

• Senior retail leader with a hands‑on approach and executive presence.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver profitable growth in multi‑market retail settings.
• Strong strategic leadership across diverse markets with high seasonal demand.
• Willingness to travel 70‑80% of the time.
