Head of SEO – Lead Strategy for International Affiliate Portfolio

About the role

This senior position will own the SEO strategy for a portfolio of high‑performing affiliate websites across multiple international markets. You will lead the end‑to‑end launch of new affiliate sites, drive organic growth, and manage a team of SEO Content Managers while collaborating closely with product, content, and commercial teams.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute SEO strategy for a multi‑site affiliate portfolio.
• Launch new affiliate websites from concept to go‑live in various markets.
• Improve on‑page and off‑page SEO to boost rankings, traffic, and revenue.
• Develop content‑led SEO plans that deliver sustainable organic growth.
• Lead backlink acquisition and link‑building campaigns to increase domain authority.
• Manage relationships with publishers, agencies, and external partners.
• Identify market opportunities through keyword research, competitor analysis, and market sizing.
• Mentor and develop a team of SEO Content Managers.
• Prioritise high‑impact SEO initiatives with product, content, and commercial teams.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading SEO strategy in affiliate marketing, publishing or fast‑growing digital businesses.
• Strong leadership track record with experience managing and developing SEO teams.
• Native German speaker with fluent English.
• Commercial mindset with the ability to link SEO performance to traffic, conversions and revenue.
• Analytical skills to prioritise work based on commercial impact.
• Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, entrepreneurial environment.
