Head of Site Quality (FSQA)

About the role

We are seeking a senior leader to head Food Safety and Quality Assurance for a major production site in North Rhine-Westphalia. The role sits on the site leadership team and carries full accountability for food safety, quality performance, compliance and culture.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute the site FSQA strategy in line with business objectives.
• Ensure compliance with GFSI standards (IFS, BRC), HACCP, GMP and all regulatory requirements.
• Serve as the primary quality interface for key customers and external stakeholders.
• Drive continuous improvement and embed a strong food-safety culture across the plant.
• Lead, develop and inspire the FSQA team to achieve best-in-class performance.
• Collaborate with Operations, Supply Chain and NPD to support growth and operational excellence.

Required profile

• Proven FSQA leadership experience within food manufacturing.
• Strong track record in managing audits, customer relationships and compliance frameworks.
• Experience leading teams and delivering measurable improvement at plant level.
• Strategic mindset with a hands-on, results-driven approach.
• Excellent influencing and stakeholder-management skills.

Required skills

• GFSI standards (IFS, BRC) implementation.
• HACCP system management.
• Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
• Regulatory compliance in food production.
