HR Generalist – On-site in Hamburg

About the role

We are looking for a motivated HR professional to join our Hamburg studio as the primary on‑site HR contact. You will support the full employee lifecycle, act as the liaison to the Stillfront Germany HR Hub, and collaborate with colleagues in Malta.

Key responsibilities

• Lead on‑site onboarding and guide managers through probation evaluations.
• Coordinate annual performance and salary review cycles.
• Manage absence processes, return‑to‑work conversations, and workplace risk assessments.
• Develop and administer local benefits strategy, including provider contracts and budget.
• Conduct payroll reviews, report tax‑relevant events, and coordinate payments with the HR Hub.
• Serve as first point of contact for employee relations, exit interviews, and disciplinary processes.
• Maintain studio org chart, salary bands, and HR documentation in compliance with German labour law.
• Own end‑to‑end recruitment coordination, from headcount planning to onboarding readiness.

Required profile

• Professional experience as an HR Manager, HR Coordinator, or similar role.
• Solid knowledge of German labour law and HR best practices.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
• Collaborative, discreet, and confident in building trust across all organisational levels.
• Fluent in German and English; willing to work full‑time on‑site in Hamburg.

Required skills

• Experience with AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, or Gemini.
• Familiarity with HRIS platforms (HiBob is a plus).
• Proficiency in Google Workspace or similar productivity suites.
