HR Operations Specialist

About the role

Chevron is seeking an HR Operations Specialist to support its multi‑country HR team, primarily for Germany while also providing backup for the Netherlands and Belgium. The role combines operational excellence with continuous improvement and requires strong knowledge of local legislation, language skills, and the ability to work across cultures.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with Global Business Services to deliver end‑to‑end HR support throughout the employee lifecycle.
• Manage HR activities that must remain locally owned due to legal, regulatory, language, or business requirements.
• Support local payroll processes and coordinate with payroll providers, finance teams, and other stakeholders.
• Ensure accurate, compliant, and timely HR administration, documentation, audits, government reporting, and local compliance.
• Provide operational support on employee and labor‑relations matters, including Works Council consultations and disciplinary processes.
• Act as a trusted local HR contact for employees, managers, and HR colleagues.
• Identify opportunities to simplify, improve, and standardise HR processes.
• Contribute to regional HR projects and initiatives.

Required profile

• Experience in HR Operations or a HR Generalist role in Germany.
• Solid background supporting HR and payroll processes in Germany.
• Knowledge of German labor law; basic understanding of Dutch and Belgian labor law.
• Fluency in German, Dutch, and English.
• Structured, proactive, solution‑oriented approach with strong communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Willingness to travel occasionally within the region.
