HR Partner Team Lead – Germany & Austria (12‑month FTC)

About the role

IQVIA is seeking an interim HR Partner Team Lead to head a team of about 25 HR Business Partners and Specialists supporting roughly 3,700 employees across Germany and Austria. The role reports to the Vice President of the global HR Partner team and is responsible for delivering consistent HR services, driving continuous improvement and leading regional HR initiatives during a 12‑month fixed‑term contract.

Key responsibilities

• Lead a team of HR professionals to provide efficient HR business partnering across all business units in Germany and Austria.
• Drive HR leadership across multiple legal entities, ensuring a consistent employee experience while complying with local requirements.
• Coach the HR Partner team on execution of global and local people strategies, plans and programs.
• Consult with local business leaders on talent pipelines, leadership development, succession planning and employee relations.
• Lead strategic engagement with Works Councils and employee representative bodies, handling negotiations and compliance with collective bargaining agreements.
• Oversee HR policy and process improvements, including off‑shoring opportunities and technology leverage.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Law, Psychology or a related field.
• Significant progressive HR experience with senior leadership responsibility (HR Business Partner, HR Lead or HR Director).
• Strong knowledge of German and Austrian employment legislation.
• Excellent leadership, communication and influencing skills.
• Proven ability to manage complex change, M&A integration and organizational transformation projects.
• Fluent in German and English, both written and spoken.

• HR information systems (HRIS) expertise.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience using AI tools to enhance HR impact.
