Industrial Cybersecurity Expert – Fixed-Term (24 months)

About the role

As an Industrial Cybersecurity Expert you will lead the implementation and evolution of cybersecurity measures for production and OT environments at Siemens Energy’s Nuremberg site and other assigned plants. You will act as the central liaison between production, IT, engineering and the global cybersecurity organization, ensuring the security of manufacturing processes and OT systems.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and refine OT cybersecurity requirements for factory environments.
• Translate global IT/OT governance guidelines into concrete technical and organisational measures.
• Conduct and enhance threat and risk assessments.
• Support compliance with regulatory frameworks such as NIS2, IEC 62443 and EU CRA.
• Plan, execute and follow‑up on internal audits.
• Collaborate closely with global cybersecurity functions and other ICSEs to exchange best practices.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, electrical engineering or a related field (specialisation in IT/OT security is a plus) or equivalent qualifications.
• Several years of experience with OT/IT networks, industrial control systems or cybersecurity standards and frameworks.
• Strong communication and facilitation skills.
• Independent, structured and solution‑oriented working style.
• Fluent German and English.
