Industrial Engineer – Fully Remote

About the role

Mercur connects elite talent with leading AI research labs and is seeking an experienced Industrial Engineer to work remotely on short‑term AI‑focused projects. You will create and refine deliverables that support AI research teams, working independently and asynchronously.

Key responsibilities

• Create deliverables that address common requests in industrial engineering within AI research.
• Review and improve peer‑developed deliverables to enhance overall research quality.
• Collaborate with AI research teams to optimise model outputs and infrastructure.
• Work independently to meet deadlines while contributing to AI infrastructure development.
• Diagnose and resolve real issues in machine learning systems.

Required profile

• Minimum 4 years of professional experience in industrial engineering or a related domain.
• Excellent written communication with strong grammar and spelling.
• Immediate availability to start.

What we offer

• Contract rate of $70–$110 per hour.
• 30–40 hours per week for a 3–4 week engagement.
