Industrial Mechanic Apprenticeship (f/m/d)

About the role

Join Excelitas Technologies in Feldkirchen as an Industrial Mechanic apprentice. You will be trained in high‑precision mechanics, working on complex optomechatronic components for sectors such as biomedical, aerospace and consumer electronics.

Key responsibilities

• Manufacture components using conventional and CNC‑controlled lathes and milling machines.
• Interpret technical drawings, plan production processes and set up machine tools.
• Monitor, optimise and document manufacturing operations, including quality assurance.
• As you progress, independently assemble opto‑mechatronic components, align high‑precision systems and perform testing with measuring and inspection equipment.

Required profile

• Completed secondary school diploma (any type).
• Strong interest in machines and technology, with fine motor skills and spatial awareness.
• Reliability, attention to detail and patience for precision work.

Required skills

• Operating conventional and CNC‑controlled lathes and milling machines.
• Reading and working with technical drawings and documentation.
• Planning production processes and setting up machine tools.
• Using measuring and inspection equipment for testing and quality assurance.
