Information Security Engineer (Hybrid, Berlin)

About the role

We are looking for an Information Security Engineer to join our fast‑growing security division. Based in Berlin with a hybrid work model, you will help protect an AI‑driven platform that optimises energy management, production and logistics across industrial processes.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse and review on‑premises and cloud system architectures and configurations.
• Advise stakeholders on technical improvements for security, identity & access management, mobile device management and network security.
• Collaborate with internal IT, developers and product managers on security‑related topics.
• Perform technical risk identification, evaluation and assessment.
• Support and execute information‑security incident response activities.
• Enhance security‑operations tooling and procedures, including central logging and vulnerability management.
• Implement and automate security services for global business units.
• Participate in security‑focused due‑diligence and promote a strong security and data‑compliance culture.

Required profile

• Strong system‑engineering background with knowledge of technical architectures and networking.
• Understanding of encryption, IAM and other technical security measures.
• Familiarity with cloud‑security posture management, mobile device management and Microsoft 365.
• Experience with enterprise‑architecture tools such as GitLab, Jenkins, Confluence and Jira.
• Good grasp of information‑security attacks, incident response and risk‑management processes.
• Knowledge of network design, cloud security and Terraform.
• Understanding of SDLC and software development practices.
• Fluent English (German is a plus) and a strong enthusiasm for information security.
