Innovation Project Engineer – Ultrasound Workspace (Munich)

About the role

We are looking for an Innovation Project Engineer to join our Ultrasound Workspace team in Munich. You will drive R&D delivery of complex AI‑based medical software, ensuring regulatory‑ready development and seamless collaboration across software, quality and regulatory teams.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and report software development progress, ensuring transparency and timely escalation.
• Plan, coordinate and document software validation activities in line with quality and regulatory standards.
• Create, review and maintain R&D documentation such as validation plans, reports and traceability matrices.
• Champion agile ways of working while upholding quality and regulatory compliance.
• Remove impediments, manage dependencies and support sprint planning, reviews and retrospectives.
• Support requirements engineering, ensuring high‑quality, testable requirements with full end‑to‑end traceability.

Required profile

• Degree in Computer Science, Biomedical/Medical Engineering, Software Engineering or a related technical field.
• At least 4 years of professional experience in a MedTech environment.
• Hands‑on experience with medical software validation, preferably in ultrasound.
• Strong affinity for software development and interest in requirements engineering.
• Fluent in German and English.
