Intelligence and Information Disclosure Officer

About the role

The Intelligence and Information Disclosure Officer supports the declassification process, data collection, and integration across the organization. You will guide clients on the releasability of analytical products and provide time‑critical recommendations under pressure.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the primary liaison for planning, implementing, and executing declassification programs.
• Develop transparent, standardized declassification processes, training, and quality‑assurance measures.
• Design solutions for electronic records, special media, and emerging technologies.
• Coordinate information exchange with external agencies and provide detailed declassification guidance.
• Improve Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) and Mandatory Declassification Review workflows to ensure timely public responses.

Required profile

• Experience with research, analysis, and analytic tools.
• Familiarity with Intelligence Community (IC) databases and DoD standards for sourcing products.
• Knowledge of Security Classification Guides, Declassification Guides, and the process of downgrading information.
• Understanding of Original Classification Authorities, Declassification Authorities, and related equities.
• Awareness of DoD manuals, E.O. 13526, and broader IC and Combatant Command guidelines.
