Internal Auditor – Risk Based Audits

About the role

Join the Corporate Audit team at a global shipping leader and help shape the future of internal audit. You will conduct risk‑based audits and investigations across liner, terminal, and infrastructure businesses, providing independent assessments and driving lasting improvements.

Key responsibilities

• Perform complex financial and managerial audits as lead auditor or audit resource.
• Assess internal controls, policies, and procedures for effectiveness and compliance.
• Present audit findings and recommendations to senior management and follow up on action items.
• Conduct confidential investigations of irregularities in collaboration with the Ethics Committee.
• Advise senior management on special projects and propose risk‑mitigation solutions.
• Contribute to the annual risk‑oriented audit planning process.

Required profile

• University degree (Bachelor’s or Master’s) in business management, economics, finance, shipping or a related field.
• Professional experience in shipping, auditing or consulting.
• Relevant certifications such as CIA, CISA or CFE are highly valued.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to work with data in a structured way.
• Excellent presentation and argumentation skills.
• High level of English proficiency, both written and spoken.
• Willingness to travel internationally up to 25%.
