About the role

This internship supports the Financing Subsidiaries & Joint Ventures team at BASF, focusing on strategic financing decisions, M&A activities, and digitalization projects. You will work on‑site in Ludwigshafen while collaborating with global finance communities.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in developing and implementing financing strategies for subsidiaries and joint ventures.
• Support M&A evaluation, due diligence, and integration tasks.
• Conduct business analyses and prepare financial reports.
• Contribute to digitalization initiatives within the finance function.
• Collaborate with team members on ad‑hoc projects related to risk management and financial planning.

Required profile

• Degree in Business Administration with a focus on Finance.
• Strong affinity for numbers, analytical mindset, and attention to detail.
• First practical experience through internships or relevant academic projects.
• Proficiency in English and good German language skills.
