Internship – Integration of New Technology for Airframe Design Automation

About the role

Join Airbus Operations in Hamburg as an intern supporting the Automation Team. You will work on integrating cutting‑edge digital technologies into the airframe design workflow, gaining hands‑on experience in aerospace engineering and modern IT solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse current business and design processes to identify improvement opportunities that reduce time‑to‑market and costs.
• Explore and prototype emerging IT technologies such as large language models, machine learning, deep learning and knowledge graphs for design automation.
• Help define the skill set required to roll out new technologies across Airbus design offices.
• Support communication campaigns, create return‑of‑experience reports and capture feedback to enable broader deployment of the solutions.

Required profile

• Enrolled full‑time student (any gender) in aerospace, mechanical, computer engineering or a related field.
• Basic understanding of overall aircraft design and systems integration.
• Interest and knowledge in applying emerging digital technologies.
