Investment Banking Associate – Frankfurt/Munich

About the role

Join a leading investment bank with a strong DACH franchise, advising mid‑market and large corporates on M&A, capital markets, and strategic transactions. The position is based on‑site in Frankfurt or Munich and offers a clear progression path toward Senior Associate and Vice‑President.

Key responsibilities

• Support M&A and capital‑markets transactions from pitch to execution, including buy‑side and sell‑side mandates.
• Build and maintain complex financial models such as DCF, LBO, and merger models.
• Lead book‑building, valuation work, and prepare client presentations and investment‑committee materials.
• Coordinate with international teams and manage live deal‑room processes.
• Take increasing ownership of transactions and deal processes.

Required profile

• 2–4 years of experience in investment banking (M&A, TMT, industrials, or generalist).
• Fluent English and German (C1 minimum, C2 preferred).
• Ability to work long hours under pressure and deliver high‑quality output.

Required skills

• Strong financial‑modeling expertise (DCF, LBO, three‑statement models).
• Advanced Excel proficiency.
• Advanced PowerPoint proficiency.
