Investment Banking Associate

About the role

We are seeking an Investment Banking Associate to join a fast‑growing boutique bank in Frankfurt. The role offers immediate responsibility on high‑profile M&A transactions, direct exposure to senior bankers and the opportunity to develop client relationships across the DACH region.

Key responsibilities

• Lead or support the execution of sell‑side and buy‑side M&A transactions, including the development of investment cases and financial analyses.
• Build and maintain detailed financial models and valuations using DCF, LBO and comparable company approaches.
• Prepare client‑facing presentations, information memoranda and marketing materials of high quality.
• Develop relationships with management teams, advisers and investors to support origination efforts.
• Manage financial and commercial due‑diligence processes in collaboration with external advisers.
• Work closely with senior bankers on strategic advisory, transaction execution and work‑stream management.

Required profile

• 1‑6 years of experience in investment banking, private equity or corporate finance with solid exposure to M&A.
• Strong technical foundation in financial modelling and valuation.
• Proven ability to run work‑streams independently and deliver results.
• Commercially minded, resourceful and comfortable working in small, agile teams.
• Clear, confident communicator with strong presentation skills.
