IT Operations & Cybersecurity Specialist

About the role

We are building a distributed team and need a reliable, curious technician to keep client operations running smoothly while expanding your security expertise.

Key responsibilities

• Provision and manage users, groups, and licences in Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace.
• Onboard Windows/macOS laptops into an MDM solution and coordinate remote device handovers.
• Triage first‑line support tickets (password resets, access requests) and escalate complex issues.
• Run weekly maintenance checks: patch status, backup logs, and security alerts.
• Document fixes and create runbooks for repeatable processes.
• Contribute to security projects (~20% of time) such as CVE research, laptop hardening scripts, incident‑response playbook drafts, and ISO 27001 checklist development.

Required profile

• 2+ years of hands‑on experience in IT operations, helpdesk, or systems administration.
• Proven admin skills in Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace.
• Comfortable with MDM platforms (Intune, Jamf, or similar).
• Proficient in at least one scripting language (PowerShell, Bash, or Python).
• Strong written and spoken English; German is a plus.
• Reliable internet connection and a professional remote work setup.
• Self‑directed and comfortable working asynchronously across time zones.
