IT Security Engineer – DevOps & Cybersecurity

About the role

As an IT Security Engineer you will protect our payment platform by integrating security into DevOps processes and ensuring compliance with industry regulations. You will work closely with development and operations teams to strengthen our infrastructure and respond to emerging threats.

Key responsibilities

• Secure and harden infrastructure supporting DevOps practices.
• Perform regular security assessments, penetration tests and audits.
• Monitor systems and networks for suspicious activity and vulnerabilities.
• Investigate and remediate security incidents, including breaches and malware.
• Manage endpoint protection, firewalls, and intrusion detection systems.
• Identify and fix vulnerabilities in Java/Spring applications.
• Collaborate with developers to enforce secure configurations and deployments.
• Support compliance with GDPR, ISO 27001 and DORA.

Required profile

• Several years of experience as an IT Security Specialist or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of security tools such as penetration testing frameworks, SIEM, IDS/IPS and firewalls.
• Hands‑on experience with incident response and security analysis.
• Proficiency in Linux server environments and scripting/automation (Python, Bash, Ansible).
• Understanding of network and application security principles.
• Proactive, hands‑on mindset; certifications (CISSP, CISM, CEH, CompTIA Security+) are a plus.
