IT Security Engineer – DevOps & Cybersecurity

About the role

As an IT Security Engineer you will be responsible for protecting our payment platform and supporting DevOps practices. You will work closely with development and operations teams to identify vulnerabilities, respond to incidents and ensure compliance with industry regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Strengthen and secure infrastructure, supporting DevOps pipelines.
• Conduct regular security assessments, penetration tests and audits.
• Monitor systems and networks for suspicious activity and potential vulnerabilities.
• Investigate and respond to security incidents, including breaches and malware outbreaks.
• Manage endpoint protection, firewalls and intrusion detection systems.
• Identify and remediate vulnerabilities in Java/Spring applications.
• Collaborate with developers to enable secure configurations and deployments.
• Support compliance with GDPR, ISO 27001 and other relevant standards.

Required profile

• Several years of experience as an IT security specialist or a similar role.
• Strong understanding of security tools and technologies such as PenTesting, SIEM, IDS/IPS and firewalls.
• Hands‑on experience with incident response and security analysis.
• Proficiency in Linux server environments and scripting/automation (Python, Bash, Ansible).
• Knowledge of Java or JavaScript development processes is a plus.
• Proactive, hands‑on mindset and ability to work in regulated environments.
