IT Support Engineer – On-site Contract

About the role

Techwelt Group is seeking an on‑site IT Support Engineer for a contract position in Gaimersheim. The engineer will deliver hands‑on support for end‑user devices and local infrastructure, ensuring rapid resolution of hardware and software issues in line with the company’s 24‑hour response standards.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to service requests and perform break‑fix tasks for end‑user equipment.
• Support deployments, IMAC (Install, Move, Add, Change) activities and basic system administration.
• Maintain accurate incident documentation and follow established procedures.
• Collaborate with fellow engineers and client stakeholders to meet service‑level expectations.
• Participate in site surveys, inventory checks and equipment handling, including hardware repair and IT asset disposal.

Required profile

• Proven experience in technical support and help‑desk environments, preferably on‑site in enterprise or data‑center settings.
• Solid knowledge of information technology, system administration and troubleshooting of hardware and software.
• Clear written and verbal communication with strong documentation skills.
• Relevant technical education or certifications such as CompTIA A+ or Network+.
• Organised, reliable and able to work independently while cooperating with distributed teams.
