IT Technician & Asset Operations Coordinator – Gigafactory Berlin

About the role

As an IT Technician & Asset Operations Coordinator at Tesla's Gigafactory Berlin-Brandenburg, you will support the IT Infrastructure team for the EMEA region. You will be responsible for accurate tracking, management, and lifecycle oversight of all IT hardware assets, ensuring data integrity and optimal inventory levels.

Key responsibilities

• Operate the internal asset management application to record and track hardware movements, performing regular system‑to‑physical reconciliations.
• Collect equipment requests, submit purchase requests, and collaborate with planning to maintain uninterrupted production stock.
• Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments across EMEA locations, managing secure, audit‑ready storage facilities.
• Conduct hardware audits, manage Return‑to‑Vendor processes, oversee equipment disposal, and administer maintenance schedules and warranty contracts.
• Serve as primary contact for suppliers, handling orders, returns, service agreements, and delivery timelines.
• Prepare management reports on inventory, shipments, and audit findings; support internal and external audits with accurate documentation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Science or a related field.
• Practical supply‑chain experience in an IT or production environment.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational and communication abilities.
• Proven negotiation and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to work independently, navigate ambiguity and prioritize in a fast‑paced setting.

Required skills

• Proficiency with asset management software.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Solid understanding of IT hardware types and lifecycle requirements.
