Junior Accountant / Bookkeeper (German & English) – Düsseldorf

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Junior Accountant / Bookkeeper to support our finance team in Düsseldorf. The role will work closely with the Senior Management Accountant, handling day‑to‑day bookkeeping tasks and helping to transition to the Odoo accounting platform.

Key responsibilities

• Process and post invoices, matching them to purchase orders.
• Handle supplier payments and communications.
• Manage the purchasing inbox, bank accounts and perform reconciliations.
• Support accounts payable/receivable, general ledger entries and payroll.
• Assist with monthly closing activities for multiple subsidiaries.
• Contribute to the implementation and maintenance of Odoo to streamline financial workflows.
• Collaborate with finance, operations and regulatory teams.

Required profile

• German language proficiency at least B2 and strong English skills.
• Junior‑level experience or academic background in accounting/finance.
• Based in Düsseldorf or willing to relocate.
• Detail‑oriented with a willingness to learn and grow.

Required skills

• Experience with Odoo accounting software.
