Junior Data Analyst

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Junior Data Analyst to join the Billing & Payments Finance team at mrge. You will work with financial data, support daily billing operations and help ensure accurate transaction matching and payment reconciliation.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze complex financial data sets using SQL and spreadsheets to support billing processes.
• Perform transaction matching and payment reconciliation, identifying and resolving discrepancies.
• Cross‑reference data across multiple platforms and coordinate directly with external partners to fix inconsistencies.
• Design, maintain and deliver clear reports and dashboards for stakeholders.
• Translate technical findings into actionable business insights for both technical and non‑technical finance teams.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of SQL for independent data extraction and querying.
• Advanced skills in Excel and Google Sheets for analysis, data cleaning and reporting.
• Basic programming knowledge (Python or R) and willingness to learn modern data environments such as Databricks.
• Basic understanding of finance operations, especially accounts receivable and payment reconciliation.
• Analytical mindset, high attention to data accuracy and strong communication skills.
