Junior Financial Controller – Berlin (1-year contract)

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Junior Financial Controller to join our Financial Controlling team in Berlin on a one‑year fixed‑term contract. You will act as a key partner for the business, turning data into actionable insights and communicating findings directly to the Management Board and our parent company.

Key responsibilities

• Support the monthly financial closing process by reviewing, summarising and adding context to performance data for the Management Board.
• Prepare internal and external financial reports, monitoring OPEX and CAPEX to extract strategic insights.
• Maintain the financial reporting tool, handling data collection from the ERP system, mapping new structures and managing user access.
• Assist with monthly estimates, planning cycles and process optimisation initiatives.
• Handle ad‑hoc requests and contribute to ongoing projects to ensure timely delivery of critical reports.

Required profile

• At least 1 year of experience in Controlling or FP&A, preferably in a fast‑moving retail or e‑commerce environment.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to communicate complex topics clearly.
• Independent, self‑motivated work style while being a collaborative team player.
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
• Basic knowledge of HGB and IFRS is a plus.

Required skills

• Advanced Microsoft Excel (formulas, data manipulation).
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.
