Junior Furniture Designer

About the role

As a Junior Furniture Designer you will support the creation of inspiring, on‑trend products for Westwing’s largest furniture category, ranging from sofas and beds to outdoor pieces. Working closely with development teams, you will help shape the Westwing Collection with a focus on design, colour, materials and finishes in a fast‑paced, international environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop visually appealing products across multiple furniture sub‑categories.
• Assist in managing the design pipeline and collaborate with buying, quality and product management teams.
• Develop colour, material and finish (CMF) concepts to support product development.
• Prepare design concepts, sketches and product documentation.
• Review samples and prototypes against design specifications and Westwing’s design language.

Required profile

• Passion for product design and ambition for design excellence.
• At least 1 year of professional experience or relevant internships in product, industrial or furniture design.
• Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Rhino or Adobe Creative Suite.
• Strong interest in product development, materials, design trends and a keen eye for aesthetics.
• Understanding of materials, production processes and sustainability.
• Excellent communication skills, proactive mindset and fluency in English.
