Junior Innovation Expert – Bonn

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Junior Innovation Expert to join our Innovation team in Bonn. You will help drive the annual “Seeding the Future – Global Food Systems Challenge”, build partnerships and support communication across the organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and implement the Global Food Systems Challenge, handling organisation, coordination, communication and logistics with external partners.
• Establish and maintain relationships with partners interested in collaborating on innovation projects.
• Promote synergies through regular communication and identify new partnership opportunities.
• Develop and disseminate internal and external communication materials that showcase the innovation team’s activities and successes.
• Organise team meetings and facilitate information sharing within an international, remote‑friendly environment.
• Support the execution of innovation projects and ventures aligned with Welthungerhilfe’s mission.

Required profile

• Previous work experience in a non‑governmental organisation.
• Fluent English language skills.
• Hands‑on experience with agile and innovation methodologies.
• Proven ability to design and implement communication strategies.
• Proficiency with design tools such as Canva.
