Junior Legal Counsel

About the role

Mondu, a fast‑growing B2B payments provider, is looking for a Junior Legal Counsel to join its legal team in Berlin or Amsterdam. This is a one‑year fixed‑term role offering real responsibility from day one, ideal for a recent law graduate eager to work in a dynamic FinTech environment.

Key responsibilities

• Review, draft and manage commercial agreements such as NDAs, vendor contracts and terms of service.
• Own and optimise the legal tech stack, including e‑signing tools, contract management software and internal wikis.
• Provide first‑line legal advice to product, sales and engineering teams, translating legal concepts into business actions.
• Support ad‑hoc commercial legal tasks that help unblock growth initiatives.

Required profile

• Recent graduate with a law degree (First State Exam, Bachelor or Master of Law).
• Professional fluency in English; business‑level German is a plus.
• Strong interest in finance technology and willingness to learn regulatory complexities.
• Highly organised, detail‑oriented and able to prioritise in a fast‑moving environment.
• Willingness to work on‑site three days a week in a hybrid model.

Required skills

• Experience with e‑signing tools.
• Familiarity with contract management software.
• Ability to maintain and use internal wikis for legal knowledge sharing.
