Junior Procurement Specialist – Spanish & Italian (Hybrid)

About the role

As a Junior Procurement Specialist you will support BASF’s European operations by handling day‑to‑day purchasing activities. Working in a hybrid setting, you will ensure that raw materials, technical goods and services are sourced efficiently while complying with company procurement guidelines.

Key responsibilities

• Execute Purchase‑to‑Pay processes for a range of goods and services.
• Collaborate with internal business partners to place and monitor orders.
• Guarantee timely deliveries and manage any non‑conformities.
• Enter and maintain master data for contracts in the IT system.
• Serve as the central contact point for operational procurement queries from internal customers, suppliers, strategic buyers and finance colleagues.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in commerce or a related field (vocational education acceptable).
• Initial professional experience in business/commercial environments, preferably in purchasing.
• Excellent communication skills in Spanish and/or Italian, plus fluent English.
• Good knowledge of standard IT applications; experience with SAP or similar procurement systems is a plus.
• Ability to identify customer needs and enjoy a consulting approach.

Required skills

• SAP (or comparable procurement‑related IT tools).

What we offer

• Gross annual salary between 35,000 € and 39,000 €, dependent on qualification and experience.
