Junior Project Manager – Railway Vehicles

About the role

We are looking for a Junior Project Manager to lead railway vehicle projects from hand‑over through design, production, testing, authorization and delivery. You will be responsible for ensuring projects meet time, cost, quality and safety targets while supporting customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end railway vehicle projects, taking ownership of deliverables, profit & loss and contract closure.
• Build and manage the core project team, coordinate internal functions (Supply Chain, Engineering, Production, etc.) and external partners.
• Prepare and present regular project reports, conduct gate reviews and monitor KPIs.
• Identify and mitigate risks, capture opportunities and ensure compliance with governance processes.
• Serve as the main contact for customers, representing the company in senior stakeholder meetings.

Required profile

• University degree in a technical or business‑related field.
• 2–5 years of professional experience, preferably in the railway industry.
• Strong organisational, communication and stakeholder‑management abilities.
• Proactive, structured and solution‑oriented mindset.
• Fluent in German and English.
• Willingness to travel occasionally.
