Junior Software Engineer (all genders)

About the role

We are looking for a Junior Software Engineer to join our fast‑growing team in Munich. You will turn product ideas into real features on a cloud‑based platform that helps organisations train their employees against cyber threats. From day one your code will be used by real customers, and you will work side‑by‑side with experienced engineers who will mentor you.

Key responsibilities

• Implement user stories as functional features across the Java backend and React (or Angular) frontend.
• Debug and resolve issues throughout the codebase with guidance from senior engineers.
• Participate in architecture and design discussions to shape the platform.
• Collaborate with Product and Customer Success teams to ensure solutions meet user needs.
• Write clean, tested, maintainable code and take part in code reviews.
• Continuously learn new tools and patterns in the cybersecurity domain.

Required profile

• Recent graduate (BSc/MSc) in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field, or 1‑2 years of equivalent practical experience.
• Motivation to build modern cloud products and understand end‑to‑end system architecture.
• Enthusiasm for teamwork and learning from senior colleagues.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Java (object‑oriented programming).
• Experience with React or Angular for frontend development.
• Basic knowledge of SQL and relational databases.
• Familiarity with Spring Boot or willingness to learn it quickly.
