Junior Transfer Pricing Controller – Hybrid (Germany)

About the role

As a Junior Controller in the Intercompany Transfer Pricing Team, you will support BASF’s Global Business Services by ensuring transfer prices are calculated, monitored and adjusted in line with legal, tax and internal guidelines. You will work in a hybrid model, combining office presence in Berlin with remote work across the EU.

Key responsibilities

• Calculate and adjust intercompany transfer prices to ensure compliance with regulations and BASF policies.
• Analyse financial statements, determine entity‑level margins and respond to ad‑hoc requests.
• Conduct regular quality‑assurance reviews of transfer pricing data.
• Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain and Controlling as a first‑level escalation point.
• Drive continuous improvement, automation and knowledge management of transfer pricing processes.
• Support the Global Tax Department during audits and compliance activities.

Required profile

• Degree in Business Administration, Business Informatics or a related field with a focus on Accounting/Finance or Controlling.
• Basic understanding of tax‑related topics; first professional experience is a plus.
• Strong grasp of financial statements, especially profit and loss accounts.
• Good communication skills in English; additional languages are advantageous.
• Willingness to learn new technology applications such as VBA, Power BI or UiPath.
