Legal Advisor – Commercial Contracts (Spanish focus)

About the role

GO2 Markets is seeking a Legal Advisor to join its small, collaborative legal team in Berlin. You will be responsible for drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial agreements, with a particular emphasis on Spanish‑speaking clients and the Spanish market. The role supports fast‑moving trading operations in the renewable energy and climate commodity sectors across the EU and US.

Key responsibilities

• Own the drafting, review, and negotiation of commercial contracts such as sale‑purchase, brokerage, NDA, and service agreements.
• Develop and maintain legal templates and contract frameworks, focusing on Spanish‑language documentation.
• Serve as the primary legal contact for the Spanish‑speaking desk and support cross‑border transactions.
• Provide legal guidance on data protection, labor law, and corporate compliance to commercial, operational, marketing, and people teams.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and risk mitigation for EU and US renewable energy and climate commodity markets.
• Monitor legal and regulatory developments affecting environmental commodity trading.
• Collaborate with commercial teams to structure transactions that balance legal risk and business objectives.
• Contribute to cross‑functional projects and improve contract workflows for efficiency and scalability.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a commercial legal role, preferably in a law firm or in‑house setting.
• Native‑level Spanish and strong English; German is a plus.
• Solid knowledge of contract law, commercial law, and corporate legal matters.
• Proven ability to draft and negotiate commercial agreements with external stakeholders.
• Independent work style with strong organizational and prioritization skills.
• Detail‑oriented mindset and familiarity with data protection and regulatory compliance.
