Legal Counsel – Munich (EMEA)

About the role

We are a leading global brand of smart baby gear, seeking an experienced Legal Counsel (or Senior Legal Counsel) to join our Munich team and support the EMEA business.

Key responsibilities

• Provide clear, practical, business‑oriented legal advice to internal stakeholders.
• Draft, review and negotiate contracts and other legal documents.
• Support development and implementation of internal legal policies, procedures and systems.
• Manage legal disputes and litigation.
• Support corporate governance, compliance and risk‑management activities.
• Manage and coordinate external counsel as required.
• Monitor legal developments and assess their impact on the business.

Required profile

• Qualified lawyer admitted in Germany and eligible for judicial office (Section 5 of the German Judiciary Act (DRiG)).
• Minimum 7 years post‑admission legal experience, including at least 3 years in‑house.
• Strong background in commercial and corporate law; additional expertise in compliance, regulatory, employment or IP is a plus.
• Fluent in English and German.
• Experience in an international or cross‑border environment.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, commercially minded with ability to balance legal risk and business objectives.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
• High level of professionalism, integrity and sound judgment.
